Who is an Intermediate?

Intermediate riders/drivers have some riding/driving experience (on or off of the job) and are somewhat comfortable with their ability to negotiate certain types of terrain and accomplish basic tasks.  However, they have not experienced the variety of training and job situations that are critical for their job safety, effectiveness and efficiency.  Their jobs may require them to ride/drive in terrain or climates in which they are unfamiliar or uncomfortable.  Intermediate riders/drivers need to become highly aware of their own abilities and the capability of their equipment so they can best serve your needs.

  • Do some of your employees feel uneasy when challenged by:
    • side hills?
    • creek crossings?
    • rocky trails?
    • deep sand or mud?
  • Have they ever been sucked into a wet or dry rut at speed?
  • Do they need to know how to simplify log crossings – wet and dry – that are now tricky?

About The Class

To ensure employees can immediately apply everything they are taught in actual riding/driving  situations, 75 percent of this class is taught on terrain similar to what employees will be riding/driving.
